Cheryl Platz is a Seattle-based professional actress, specializing in improvisational comedy, hosting, and voice-over work.
Cheryl is a veteran Seattle-area performer with training in voice, acting, improvisational theatre, and dance. As a member of the ensemble at Unexpected Productions, she performs and teaches improvisational comedy on a weekly basis. As a company member with Seattle Experimental Theater, Cheryl performs in the hit improvised parody of Star Trek, Where No Man Has Gone Before, in addition to other productions.
In addition, Cheryl has worked with over a dozen Seattle-area local theatre companies on both traditional scripted work and a number of world premiere plays and musicals. Her professional experience includes an original web series for MSN Movies, comedy video for the Cheezburger Network, voiceover for the Sims 2 DS, industrial videos, and independent films.
Prior to moving to the Seattle area, Cheryl was heavily involved with the student-run theatre troupe at Carnegie Mellon University (Scotch ‘n’ Soda Theatre), where she appeared in numerous stage productions. She also served on their Board of Directors for 4 years, including a term as President of the organization in 2001-2002.
